Detailed Technical Explanation

IEC 62305-3 is the international standard governing the design, installation, and inspection of physical lightning protection systems for human life and structural safety. Rescue Electric provides engineered system architectures following its prescriptive guidelines.

The external system incorporates air-termination networks using Franklin rods, horizontal mesh conductors, or catenary wires arranged according to rolling sphere radius, protection angle, and mesh size corresponding to Protection Levels I through IV.

Multiple down-conductors are spaced uniformly around the building perimeter to share current distribution and reduce electromagnetic fields inside the building. Safe separation distances (s) are calculated to prevent uncontrolled sparking across building masonry to internal metallic installations.
